Surfing Chefs for SurfAid started in 2011 and has raised over half a million dollars since. The roving gala brings SurfAid’s biggest supporters, acclaimed chefs and accomplished pros together for a night of amazing food and delicious beverages, including Balter Beer, Rocky Road Wines, Brookie’s Gin and Villa Vodka.
SurfAid Founder, Dr. Dave Jenkins, spoke passionately about SurfAid’s recent achievements and expansion plans ‘SurfAid provides a hand-up, not a hand-out model that works, with both the NZ and AU governments increasing their support and encouraging SurfAid to introduce our interventions to new countries, with SurfAid USA announcing a partnership with local NGOs in Mexico earlier this year. What we’re doing is delivering sustainable results, because of events like Surfing Chefs for SurfAid, and we are so grateful’.
