Glenfield College Raise money for SurfAid

Monday, July 22, 2013

In the first term of 2013 the Year 9 students at Glenfield College had been learning about SurfAid and at the end of their study they decided they wanted to do something to help the Mentawai people out also. So they asked the principal if they could organise a mufti day for the whole school with the money raised going to SurfAid.

The students of Glenfield College raised $722.30 as a result and Erik Grundy(above) then presented the cheque to Adele Hatton, the National Coordinator of SurfAid Schools Program in New Zealand. The students made a huge effort and a big thank you to all of those who helped make a contribution to this great cause.
