Indonesian Partners: More than 90 per cent of our program staff are Indonesian nationals
SurfAid partners with local Indonesian communities and government to help implement lasting change.
Empowering local communities and creating sustained changes in health and wellbeing requires local partners. SurfAid is proud that more than 90 per cent of our program staff are Indonesian nationals who work hand-in-hand with local communities, to bring about positive, sustainable health change while respecting the unique culture and customs of the islands.
In 2011, SurfAid signed a Memo of Understanding (MOU) with Indonesia’s National Health Promotion Agency .PromKes. Other local partners provide social and technical advice; for example, the Indonesian Malaria Control Board provides assistance in monitoring the impact of SurfAid’s Malaria Free Mentawai Program.
